Conditions for Salah to Become Obligatory

The outward cause by which obligation arises; here, entry of the prayer time.

legal responsibility
Legal responsibility applying to a person who meets its conditions.

A condition of obligation is something whose presence makes a legal duty binding on a person. the ruling identifies three basic conditions for the obligation of salah: Islam, maturity and sanity.
