Wudu is a specific form of ritual purification involving particular parts of the body. It removes minor hadath, the legal ritual state that prevents certain acts of worship until purification is performed. Wudu includes washing prescribed limbs and wiping the head in the manner taught by the Shariah. It is not merely ordinary cleanliness; it is an act of worship with its own conditions, obligatory acts, Sunnahs and etiquettes.
