The Prophet ﷺ described duties Muslims owe one another, including greeting, sincere concern and helping in times of need. A community becomes stronger when its members remember that friendship is more than receiving help; it also means giving attention to others. Several Prophetic reports explain everyday rights with specific examples, such as visiting an ill person appropriately and responding to greetings.
These reports about the rights among Muslims do not cancel the dignity and fair treatment owed to every human being. In a mixed neighbourhood we show honesty, courtesy and help to all. Our classroom practice is to design a respectful greeting and assistance plan that protects privacy and never pressures a sick student to receive an unwanted visit.
