The Prophet ﷺ advised leaving what causes genuine doubt for what brings confidence. This encourages clear conscience and cautious conduct when evidence is uncertain. It does not mean that we must treat every unfamiliar object as forbidden or let anxious thoughts rule our days. Ordinary curiosity is not the same as a concrete reason to suspect wrongdoing.
Imagine finding a pencil case in school with no owner’s name. Keeping it immediately would be questionable, while handing it to the teacher for lost property is clear and responsible. For complicated food or financial questions, ask a qualified adult and avoid inventing a religious prohibition. Good judgement seeks clarity without turning uncertainty into blame or obsessive worry.
