Qist Maktab · Islamic Studies · Class 7
Allah’s knowledge embraces the past, present and future. At the same time, we experience making choices and are taught to pursue good, avoid wrongdoing and take responsibility for our actions. Belief in qadar is not permission to cheat, harm another person or neglect a duty. We act, seek help, repent when necessary and trust Allah without claiming to comprehend every detail of the divine decree.
Imagine someone who deliberately damages a classmate’s book and then says, “It was destiny, so I am not responsible.” That excuse ignores the command to act fairly and restore another person’s rights. A Muslim acknowledges the mistake, apologises and repairs or replaces the book. Difficult theological details should be studied with a knowledgeable teacher, without reducing them to a misleading slogan.
