A miracle (mu‘jizah) is an extraordinary sign Allah grants to a prophet in connection with his truthful mission. It is not a trick, a science experiment or an ordinary skill that anyone can reproduce on demand. The Qur’an recounts signs given to earlier prophets and presents the revelation sent to Muhammad ﷺ as guidance and proof to be reflected upon.
When learning about miracles, distinguish the Qur’an’s own accounts from popular tales whose evidence may be weak. We should not pretend to explain every miracle by everyday natural causes, nor label every surprising event a prophetic miracle. The lesson is about the truthfulness of revelation, Allah’s power and the obligation to check sources carefully.
