The Qur’an refers to Allah taking His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque. Authentic reports also describe aspects of Mi‘raj, including the importance of the five daily prayers. These are matters of revelation; classroom diagrams should map places and ideas, not attempt to depict the Prophet ﷺ or the unseen. We distinguish the Qur’anic verse from later narrative details of varying authenticity.
In the later Makkan years, people from Yathrib (later Madinah) met the Prophet ﷺ and pledged support, in events known as the Pledges of Aqabah. These relationships helped prepare for the migration. Hijrah required faith alongside secrecy where necessary, consultation and practical planning. We compare the lesson’s three elements—spiritual strengthening, community support and responsible preparation—without falsely treating them as one event on the same night.
