Good friends make it easier to pursue worthwhile goals, while pressure from a group can push us toward choices we would reject alone. Not every disagreement means someone is a bad friend. We need judgement: notice whether a request is safe, fair and consistent with our faith, and learn to refuse clearly without mocking the people making it.
Suppose friends urge us to exclude a new pupil or share an exam answer secretly. We can say, “We want to do this fairly,” propose including the newcomer, and ask a trusted adult for help if pressure continues. Friendship also means respecting healthy boundaries; someone who repeatedly threatens us for saying no needs adult intervention, not endless attempts to please them.
