Allah guided humanity through revelation sent to His prophets. Muslims believe in the revelation given to earlier prophets, including the Tawrah to Musa, the Zabur to Dawud and the Injil to Isa عليهم السلام. The Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and is our final guiding scripture.
Respect for revelation means learning accurately what Islam teaches about the Books and living according to the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah. The Qur’an is recited in Arabic and its meanings may be studied in translation. We should distinguish the original revelations from the historical forms of books available today without insulting other communities.
