The Prophet ﷺ taught that faith is strengthened by wishing for our brother what we wish for ourselves. We all want safety, respect, fairness and encouragement. This Hadith challenges us to consider the feelings and needs of other people, not only our own comfort.
At school, sharing learning materials fairly and celebrating a friend’s success are practical ways to apply this teaching. We may have different talents and resources, but we should not wish harm or deprivation for others. A caring community grows when people act generously even when there is no personal advantage.
