In 3 AH, Quraysh came toward Madinah and the Muslims met them near Mount Uhud. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ placed a group of archers at an important position and instructed them not to leave it without permission.
During the battle, some archers left their position when they thought the fighting was ending. The situation changed suddenly, the Muslims suffered serious losses and the Prophet ﷺ was injured. Uhud became a lasting lesson about obedience, discipline, mistakes and returning to what is right.
