Seeking Knowledge and Its Responsibility

Seeking knowledge includes checking evidence, recognising expertise and using learning to benefit others. A student should not spread uncertain religious claims as facts.

Knowledge should be sought through disciplined study, reliable sources and respect for expertise. In hadith studies, attributing a statement to the Prophet ﷺ requires care; in other subjects, quotations and data should also be checked. Intellectual honesty includes admitting uncertainty and correcting mistakes. The goal of learning is not merely to win arguments but to understand truth and act beneficially.

Read the source before explaining the hadith. Which words belong to the original report, and which are the teacher's explanation? Explain the key teaching using simple words and a real-life example. Check its context and reliability before applying it. Do not use a short quotation to shame others or to claim knowledge of their hidden intentions.
