The Battle of Uhud occurred in 3 AH after Badr. The Prophet ﷺ arranged the defence of the Muslim community and placed a group of archers at an assigned position, with Abdullah ibn Jubayr responsible for them. A report in Sahih al-Bukhari 4043–4044 says they were commanded to remain at their post even if the apparent battle situation changed. Some left and serious setbacks followed.
Learn the event as a clear story. Start with where and when it happened. Then ask what led to it, what the Prophet ﷺ and the people did, and what happened next. Put the main steps in time order. Some details are well supported by hadith, while others come from history books; do not give them all the same level of certainty. Avoid invented speeches or dramatic scenes. Finally, explain what the event teaches us about faith, fairness, leadership or care for others.
