Knowledge is an amanah, a trust. Learning is not merely memorising a statement: we should understand what is known, which source supports it, what remains uncertain and how our words affect people. The Qur’an warns against following claims without knowledge. This applies to school projects, religious quotations, internet videos, scientific facts and tools that generate confident-sounding answers.
When using an online source or an AI-generated explanation, compare it with a reliable book, teacher or primary reference. Credit the actual author, distinguish a quotation from a paraphrase and never fabricate a Hadith citation. If an answer may affect someone’s safety, privacy, worship or wellbeing, ask a qualified adult rather than sharing a guess. Responsible scholars and learners are willing to correct themselves.
