The Prophet’s teaching encourages Muslims to leave what has no proper concern for them. This includes prying into another person’s private conversations, sharing meaningless rumours and spending time on arguments that bring no benefit. It does not forbid asking necessary questions, caring for others or speaking up when someone is unsafe.
Before opening another person’s phone or forwarding a private screenshot, ask whether we have permission and a real purpose. Our time is limited; reading, helping family and meaningful play are better uses than gossip. If a friend needs safety support, tell a trusted adult rather than claiming that their harm is “none of our business.”
