Allah knows all that happens, including the choices people make. At the same time, we experience choosing between available actions and are responsible for our conduct. Allah’s prior knowledge does not give us permission to lie, harm others or neglect duties. We should distinguish knowing what someone will choose from forcing that choice in the ordinary sense.
At school, we can choose whether to prepare, cheat or help a classmate; we are accountable for what we choose. When we make a mistake, we repent, repair harm and try again rather than saying destiny excuses our behaviour. The deeper relationship between divine decree and human action should be discussed with a qualified teacher, without pretending it is a simple puzzle.
