Tawakkul is depending on Allah while taking responsible steps. We cannot control every result, but we can prepare, seek reliable advice and do our work honestly. Trust in Allah brings calmness; it is not an excuse to neglect a duty, endanger ourselves or ignore a problem.
For a class presentation, we research, practise, organise our notes and make du‘a. If we forget a sentence, we stay composed and continue. We should also respect people whose efforts produce different outcomes. Learning from a setback is compatible with patience and reliance upon Allah.
