Qist Maktab · Islamic Studies · Class 5
Justice means giving each person their due and deciding matters fairly. Islam instructs us to be just even when our own preference, friendship or anger makes fairness difficult. Fairness may require listening to both sides, checking the facts and applying an agreed rule consistently.
In a classroom, we can give each team member credit for their own work and avoid choosing winners simply because they are our friends. Sometimes equal treatment means equal turns; sometimes a learner needs a reasonable adjustment to participate. Justice and mercy should work together, not cancel each other.
