Allah has given us guidance and the ability to make choices. We are responsible for what we deliberately choose and do within our ability. This is why Islam teaches us to think before acting and to correct mistakes when we make them.
Accountability is not only frightening; it also gives hope. Allah knows every sincere prayer, hidden good deed and effort to do what is right. Nothing good is forgotten with Him.
