01

Learn the main idea

Academic honesty means citing sources, distinguishing quotation from paraphrase and correcting mistakes. Plagiarism hides the origin of ideas.

02

A deeper explanation

Academic integrity requires presenting evidence accurately, citing sources and distinguishing one's own reasoning from borrowed material. Plagiarism misrepresents authorship; fabricated references mislead readers. Honest scholarship also means describing uncertainty, correcting mistakes and resisting selective quotation. These duties apply equally to religious writing, science assignments and social media explanations.
