When rights appear to conflict, listen to all parties, examine evidence and seek a solution that avoids favouritism and unnecessary harm.
Conflicting claims arise when different people assert rights over time, resources or decisions. Justice requires identifying each person's entitlement, gathering evidence and applying fair standards without favouritism. Mercy may shape the remedy, but one person's forgiveness cannot automatically cancel another's rights. Listening to all parties is essential before deciding who is responsible.
