سَافَرَ صَاحِبَانِ إِلَى مَدِينَةٍ قَرِيبَةٍ. وَفِي الطَّرِيقِ تَعِبَ أَحَدُهُمَا وَجَلَسَ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ. فَحَمَلَ صَاحِبُهُ بَعْضَ مَتَاعِهِ وَأَعْطَاهُ مَاءً. بَعْدَ قَلِيلٍ قَامَ الرَّجُلُ وَوَاصَلَا السَّفَرَ مَعًا. عِنْدَ الْمَسَاءِ وَصَلَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ سَالِمَيْنِ. فَعَرَفَا أَنَّ الصَّاحِبَ الصَّادِقَ يَظْهَرُ عِنْدَ الْحَاجَةِ.
