03Translation

The greatest goal is attaining eternal happiness and avoiding everlasting misery.

04Explanation

Every human being seeks success and happiness. People work hard for: • Wealth • Education • Health • Status • Comfort However, Imam al-Ghazali reminds us that worldly success is temporary. The greatest success is eternal success in the Hereafter. Likewise, the greatest loss is eternal punishment and misery. For this reason, understanding the truth about Allah, Revelation, Prophethood, and the Hereafter is more important than any worldly knowledge. A person may know many sciences, but if he does not know his Creator, his purpose in life remains unclear. Therefore, theology is not studied for argument or debate. It is studied because correct belief guides a person toward eternal success.

Why Study This Concept?
