Why can't the universe exist by itself?

04Explanation

The world contains things that begin, change, and depend on causes. A thing that begins cannot explain its own existence, because before it existed it had no power to bring itself into being. Therefore every originated thing needs a cause. The universe contains originated things, so it cannot be self-sufficient. This leads the mind to search for the First Cause, the Creator who gives existence to everything else.

Why Study This Concept?

Understanding this principle builds rigorous critical thinking and analytical reasoning.
