Meezan al-Sarf · printed pages 25Reused canonical Sarf content
Learning objective

Derive active and passive participles from a basic triliteral verb.

Core rule

The active participle of a basic triliteral is usually فَاعِل and the passive participle مَفْعُول: نَاصِرٌ، مَنْصُورٌ.

Explanation

Ism Fa'il is taught through a structured Sarf table. Study the Arabic forms from right to left, listen to the pronunciation, then repeat each row until the pattern becomes familiar. This lesson supports interactive cards, practice, quiz review, audio support, progress tracking, and previous or next lesson navigation.

The active participle names the doer or bearer of a quality; the passive participle names what receives the action. The root remains while the pattern changes.
